Kinoorgel-400

Theatre Organ

Theatre organs are rare relics of the silent movie time. They are equipped with Organ and Orchestral Voices, as well as sound effects. There are only a few instruments in Germany, mainly in museums.
Our Moeller Theatre Organ 3/11 is probably the last theatre organ built after the Second World War. There are no other Moellers we know of in Germany. The instrument differs considerably in sound from all the Comptons, Weltes, Wurlitzers and Christies.

Some of the effect stops in our Theatre Organ:

  • Chimes
  • Xylophone
  • Glockenspiel
  • Harp
  • Castinets
  • Triangel
  • Gong
  • Sirene
  • Nachtigall
  • Steam Boat
  • Thunder
  • Hooter
